I have just finished performing as a psychopathic assassin in an all female cast thriller 'The Visit' written and directed by NIEVES LOPEZ FERNANDEZ. I was introduced to this brilliant story just a few weeks ago, having no actually lines, my role was about embracing my body and creating a presents on stage to allow a continuous fear of what is going to happen next...

The actor’s involved?

MONICA CRESPO - as VERA.

She is an outstanding actress with a real power of connections with other actors and her inner feelings are very raw and true when she performes.

FLEUR HANBY - as ELISA - Clear, bright and natural. A pleasure to watch.

ISABEL VARGAS - as ANA - The scariest person I’ve ever had to work with on stage, even scaring me on stage, during performances. Really captures the aggression and deep hurt of Ana’s character.

Even though I only actually had a couple of rehearsals for my role and placing me into the story, Nieves was a great director, giving me enough guidance to know what she wanted and need from me as an actor but also allowing me to feel the character and give what was real and natural. She is a fiery and serious director but could have a great laugh. I would happily work with the entire cast again.

The Story

Ana is a cruel and ruthless woman, who only ever experiences love for one person, her nine year old daughter Clara. In a hospital in Barcelona, Clara has only a few days to live but Ana thinks she is keeping her alive by giving her small doses of morphine. Ana leaves her side for an instant, asking a nurse, Vera, to look after her and in that moment, Clara leaves this world.

For Ana there is no doubt that Vera was at fault and she will make her pay. Ana has been watching Vera for a year and knows her life. Vera’s sister Elisa has come to stay for a month and Ana pays them a "Visit” accompanied by The Stranger and, once inside, everything will change.

Ana suffered the worst loss she could imagine, and now Vera, the guilty, needs to suffer like she did. Vera expected a visit that morning, but she never imagined what kind of visit waited for her, she doesn't know how it was going to change her life; A psychological torture from one psychopath who lost her daughter because of the mistake of one nurse. Vera and her sister will suffer a confinement in her own home where they will live the most distressing moments of their lives.
